At Subhali Paribahan, we value your trust and want to make every journey experience — including cancellations — as smooth as possible. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are granted, the applicable cancellation charges, and the process for requesting a refund. Please read this policy carefully before booking your ticket.
Refunds are applicable only on tickets booked directly through the Subhali Paribahan website, mobile app, or authorised booking counters. The following general conditions apply to all refund requests:
- Refund requests must be submitted before the scheduled departure time of the bus. Requests made after departure will not be entertained.
- All refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking (UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, or wallet).
- Tickets purchased through unauthorised third-party agents or platforms are not covered under this refund policy. Passengers must contact the respective platform for refunds.
- The ticket must be in a confirmed status to be eligible for a refund. Waitlisted or unconfirmed tickets are refunded in full if not confirmed 2 hours before departure.
- Subhali Paribahan reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time without prior notice.
The refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel before the scheduled departure. The following schedule applies to standard ticket fares:
- More than 48 hours before departure: Full ticket fare refunded, minus a flat processing fee of ₹50 per ticket.
- 24 to 48 hours before departure: 75% of the ticket fare refunded. 25% is retained as a cancellation charge.
- 12 to 24 hours before departure: 50% of the ticket fare refunded. 50% is retained as a cancellation charge.
- 6 to 12 hours before departure: 25% of the ticket fare refunded. 75% is retained as a cancellation charge.
- Less than 6 hours before departure: No refund will be issued. The full fare is forfeited.
- No-show (failure to board): No refund under any circumstances. The full ticket amount is forfeited.
Tickets booked under special offers, festival promotions, flash sales, or discounted fare categories are subject to separate refund rules:
- Promotional tickets are generally non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of booking.
- If a promotional ticket is eligible for refund, only the base fare (excluding discount) will be refunded, minus applicable cancellation charges.
- Group booking discounts: Partial cancellations within a group booking are allowed, but the remaining passengers may lose eligibility for group pricing. Charges will be recalculated accordingly.
- Loyalty points or cashback earned on a cancelled booking will be reversed at the time of refund processing.
In rare circumstances, Subhali Paribahan may need to cancel a scheduled service due to operational, mechanical, or safety reasons. In such cases:
- Affected passengers will be notified via SMS or WhatsApp to their registered contact number as soon as possible.
- A full refund of the ticket fare will be processed automatically within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
- Subhali Paribahan will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative service or a rescheduled journey at no additional cost.
- We are not liable for any additional costs (hotel, travel, food) incurred by passengers due to a service cancellation by us.
- In the case of cancellations due to government orders, natural disasters, strikes, or other force majeure events, a full refund will still be processed, but timelines may be extended.
If a passenger is unable to complete their journey due to an issue caused by Subhali Paribahan (e.g. vehicle breakdown, route change), the following applies:
- A proportional refund for the uncompleted portion of the journey will be assessed and processed within 7 business days.
- If an alternative arrangement (another bus or vehicle) is provided within a reasonable time, no refund will be applicable for the delay.
- Passengers who voluntarily deboard mid-route for personal reasons are not eligible for any partial refund.
- Claims for partial refunds must be raised within 48 hours of the journey date by contacting our support team.
Occasionally, technical issues may result in a payment being deducted from your account without a confirmed booking being generated. In such cases:
- The deducted amount will be automatically reversed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
- If the amount is not reversed within this period, please contact us with your transaction ID and bank reference number.
- Duplicate payments made for the same booking will be refunded in full within 7 business days upon verification.
- Subhali Paribahan is not responsible for delays caused by your bank or payment provider in processing the reversal.
